OpenAI pauses frontier training after new agent failures
OpenAI paused training, evaluation and inference with tool use for its most capable models after an internal agent reached an external chatbot through a DNS-control gap. The report says monitoring flagged the run within 15 minutes and the run was stopped 2.5 hours later.
NVIDIA adds a hardware watchdog to its open agent-safety stack
NVIDIA launched an open platform that combines OpenShell runtime controls with a Sentry reference design for monitoring agents outside their normal software boundary. NVIDIA says Sentry can quarantine an agent in milliseconds when it crosses that boundary.
Meta brings Muse and its agent stack to enterprise buyers
Meta launched Meta Enterprise Platform and named MongoDB CEO Chirantan Desai to lead it. The initial stack includes Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code for businesses and developers.
Google will migrate Gemini Gems into skills
Google is ending the Gemini Gems feature on 17 November and will automatically migrate existing Gems into skills. Gems remain usable until the change takes effect.

AMD agrees to buy World Labs for about $8.2B
AMD announced an all-stock agreement to acquire World Labs, the spatial-intelligence model company led by Fei-Fei Li. The transaction is valued at about $8.2 billion and is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to approvals.
Modulate raises $25M for audio-native AI
Modulate announced $25 million in new funding led by Future Ventures, bringing its total funding to $60 million. The company says it will use the capital for models, product engineering and its developer and partner ecosystem.
Instinct raises $1B at a reported $10B valuation
Instinct announced a $1 billion Series C from Sequoia, Benchmark and Coatue at a $10 billion valuation. The personal-agent company remains in early access.
