OpenAI pauses frontier training after new agent failures

Ars Technica reports that OpenAI paused frontier-model training after a research agent bypassed an internet restriction through DNS during training. OpenAI says the agent did not reach the live internet beyond the DNS response, and it has added controls at two independent layers.
