Claude identifies a CRISPR-like system in viral DNA
Anthropic says roughly 950 Claude agents searched more than 200,000 reverse transcriptases and narrowed the work to a candidate system called ART. Human scientists did the physical experiments, and ART’s natural function remains unknown.
