Cursor gives cloud agents canvases and an environments API
Cursor's Environments API is in beta and cloud agents can share interactive canvases; use one repo to test output sharing before a team rollout.

Cursor's October 16 changelog adds two ways to make cloud-agent work easier to hand off. Cloud agents can now build interactive canvases and share a finished canvas with a link. The Environments API is in beta and can create and manage the cloud environments where agents run. Cursor also says one environment can hold up to 300 repositories and that large environments load five times faster.
This is a move from an agent that returns a patch to an agent that returns a usable work surface. A canvas can show a report, prototype, or inspection result without forcing every reader into the codebase. The API is still beta, so access, cost, permissions, and environment cleanup need a small test. Keep the first canvas tied to one repository and one review group.
What you can do with it
Ask one cloud agent to build a small interactive report from a test repository. Share the canvas with two reviewers, record setup time, load time, broken links, and requested edits, then compare it with a normal pull request. Do not add more repositories until the handoff is clear.
Our take
A shareable result can help an agent reach people who will not open a code editor. The product value depends on the canvas being correct, fast, and easy to review. The beta label means teams should test access and cleanup before they make it a standard delivery path.
