Grok Bot plans to route tasks to Claude, Midjourney, and Suno
Musk said Grok Bot will choose Claude Opus 5.5, Midjourney, Suno, or another API per task; the claim has no routing rules or price, so builders should watch the product rather than plan around it.

The Next Web reported on Oct 7 that Elon Musk said Grok Bot would route tasks to Claude Opus 5.5, Midjourney, Suno, or another leading API when a rival is more likely to produce the best result. TLDR AI carried the story in its Oct 8 issue. Grok Bot launched in August, and each bot is described as running on its own computer so it can handle several tasks in parallel.
Musk did not say which tasks go to which provider, what data each provider receives, or how the cost is set. The report also notes user access problems the day before and a product changelog entry about shared bots in Slack. That puts the story closer to a product direction than a developer feature; Hark and Meta's Muse are the more immediate comparisons for personal agents.
What you can do with it
There is nothing reliable to integrate yet: Grok Bot has no published routing policy or developer price in the report. If you can access it, run one task with a fixed success checklist and record which backend it uses; otherwise watch its changelog and do not promise multi-model routing to customers.
Our take
The idea is sensible: route each task to the model that handles it best. The catch is control. Without stated routing, data handling, failure policy, or costs, this is a creator-reported product direction, not a usable platform feature.
