Supabase raises $150M and acquires Turso for agent databases

Supabase announced $150 million on October 2, led by GIC with CapitalG, IronArc, and SquarePeg participating. It also announced its acquisition of Turso, which builds a SQLite-based cloud platform for creating and suspending many small databases. Supabase said the round supports agent-driven infrastructure.
For makers, the deal is a direct infrastructure signal: agents create more short-lived projects, and each project may need an isolated data store. Turso’s architecture and Supabase’s Postgres platform point to a path from cheap prototypes to production without forcing every experiment onto a dedicated machine.
Watch how the teams expose per-agent provisioning, cost controls, migrations, and production handoff. If you build agent software, test database lifecycle and cleanup as a first-class feature; runaway state can erase the economics of cheap experimentation.
