Kuaishou's October 17 release says Kling 4.0 officially launched on October 15. The company positions it for long takes, fast action, and complex camera movement, with single-pass generation of up to 30 seconds. Its Omni Reference mode can combine up to 15 reference assets and up to 10 keyframe inputs, so a creator can carry more visual guidance into one shot.
The public app is the practical route today; the company's release says API access is coming soon. This is useful for teams that make product, social, or story clips and spend more time joining short generations than planning the shot. It is still a company claim, so judge continuity, subject identity, sound, and edit time on a fixed brief before changing a production workflow.
What you can do with it
Create one 10-second shot with a fixed subject, camera move, and end pose. Make three runs with the same references, then score continuity, unwanted changes, render time, and usable seconds. Keep a shot template only if it cuts editing work without adding review time.
Our take
Longer single-pass video can remove joins and give a director more control, but it also makes a bad take more expensive. The first useful experiment is one repeatable shot, not a full film. Keep a human approval step for anything that represents a real customer or product.
