Amazon's Bee Frontier wearable is available for $74.99, according to The Verge's October 15 report. A $99.99 Bee Eclipse is coming, and Bee Pro costs $11.99 per month. The free tier provides summaries and recaps with 14 days of memory; Pro adds unlimited summaries, suggested todos, daily memories, personal chat, templates and third-party integrations. Amazon lists dual microphones, a seven-day Frontier battery and a 21-day Eclipse battery. The report says audio is not stored and uses Amazon's Private Compute claims.
Bee sits beside recorders such as Plaud and the older Limitless idea, but Amazon adds Alexa and shopping reminders as an existing route into daily use. The price is low enough for a real adoption trial, while the value depends on retrieval, correction and trust after the first week. For makers, the opportunity is not another transcript: it is a narrow action that turns a remembered conversation into a useful next step.
What you can do with it
Try the free Bee tier if it is available in your market and use it for one repeated task such as meeting follow-ups. Measure useful recall, correction time, battery life and weekly active use. Compare the result with a phone recorder and a paid transcript before adding a device or subscription to a product.
Our take
Bee makes ambient memory cheap enough to test, but cheap hardware does not solve the hard part: finding the right memory and acting on it. Amazon's distribution helps, while the subscription and trust claims need real use. A focused follow-up task is the only fair first trial.
