OpenAI rolls out Dots as always-on agents

OpenAI introduced Dots, a class of agents that the company says can keep working in the background, use a separate cloud computer and connect to more than 4,000 apps. The rollout includes permission controls, read-only background research and approval checks, but the announcement describes product capabilities and an early rollout rather than independent evidence of reliable 24/7 work or broad adoption.
